The Mill Pond Trail is a short 1 block walk down Fifth Avenue heading west. This trail offers a 0.88 mile walk around Austin's Mill Pond that crosses by the Austin Public Library, Austin's Municipal Pool and Park, and the Hormel Plant.

The park has ample parking if you drive to it and there is a great fishing pier. The park boasts a large pavilion shelter for picnics and gatherings as well as a nice fishing pier.
The Jay C. Hormel Nature Center features over 500 acres of prairie, forests, and wetlands. Keep your eyes and ears open for many kinds of wildlife as you explore the 10+ miles of trails!
